ASCHAM SCHOOL – DINING AND KITCHEN REFURBISHMENT

Project Details

In 2016, Ascham engaged EPM to project manage the refurbishment of its dining hall and main kitchen. EPM worked closely with the school and a food services consultant to establish the brief and purpose of the project, which was intended to improve the quality and delivery of meals to staff and students. EPM and Ascham then worked with a design consultant team to translate these requirements into the specifications and design for appropriate kitchen and dining facilities. The works included a new commercial kitchen, cool room and storage spaces, and a refurbished new dining hall with the ability to seat 150 people.

The works were delivered under a construction management arrangement with a building contractor, which provided flexibility and the ability to adapt the program to utilise term breaks, as design was developed. EPM Projects provided end-to-end project management commencing with assembling the project team, managing the processes to obtain design and statutory development and building approvals, tendering, and contract administration of the construction contract.
