HEALIUS – GREENSBOROUGH

Project Details

Healius appointed EPM Projects as the Project Manager for the Construction Phase of the Greensborough IVF & Medical Centre project. This project involves the fitout and repurposing of an existing 3 level office building located in Greensborough, VIC. The works included extensive modifications to the shell of the building including structural and seismic upgrades and replacement of the roof, and internal upgrades such as the addition of a building lift.

The internal fitout requirements were complex, as a result of the numerous functional and business units served by this modern ‘medical super-centre’. The IVF clinic on the ground floor comprises a laboratory, support facilities, retrieval and collection rooms, administration areas, interview rooms and a waiting room. Two day surgery operating theatres are supported by six patient beds, a nurse station and various staff and processing rooms. Radiological services including electrocardiography, two x-ray rooms and a CT scanner will form a separate unit with the appropriate space for its own service and support rooms.

Level 1 of the centre comprises a chemist and cafe fitout, MRI services, twenty-two general practitioner patient rooms which will allow for multiple doctors to treat a large number of patients daily, a dental surgery suite with three surgery rooms, a specialist clinic and a physiology gym.

The internal car park will be upgraded with the addition of boom gates for parking control and a designated ambulance bay. The external works include planter boxes, landscaping, improved path works and aesthetic treatments to the facade.

EPM’s normal role as a client-side project manager was extended to interaction with Healius’s pharmacy tenant and their lessee fitout, co-ordination with medical equipment suppliers for day surgery and imaging, and assistance with the licensing and accreditation process for the day surgery.

Construction was completed and trading commenced from early 2018.
