WESLEY MISSION – EDWARD EAGAR LODGE UPGRADE

Project Details

The Wesley Mission Edward Eagar Lodge provides essential inner-city crisis accommodation in Surry Hills. This specialist homeless service currently offers six floors of rooms for short-term, emergency accommodation, above a heritage-listed1847 church, which was adapted as a homeless shelter in 1978. The refurbishment made qualitative changes to the level of care delivered by the lodge by increasing the size of the rooms and adding ensuite bathrooms, accessible rooms, an accessible lift, communal areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace, a second entrance and a public café. EPM Projects provided end-to-end management of the fit out and refurbishment including assembling the consultant team, managing the preparation of documentation, tendering, managing the process to obtain development consent and contract administration of the construction contract.
