Project Details

Southern Cross Care purchased land at Thornton Park (Penrith) from Urban Growth NSW for the purpose of developing a 100-bed aged care facility and 48 independent living units. EPM was engaged by Southern Cross Care to provide end-to-end project management, including assembling and leading the project consultant team, managing the processes associated with obtaining statutory approvals, tendering and appointing the building contractor, and administering the construction contract. Challenges on the project have included management of site contamination and aboriginal heritage issues. Construction commenced in late 2016 as a single stage and was completed in February 2019.
