EPM is led by an executive team who hold over 100 years of collective experience in property development, construction and consulting.

Andrew Graham
Chief Executive Officer

Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the property and construction industry in Australia in roles as a contractor, client and consultant. During this time, Andrew has held a wide range of positions in large and small public and private companies including Leighton Contractors, Optus Communications and the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games.

Andrew’s most significant achievement before founding EPM in 2001 was as the Manager, Corporate Services for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and as the Venue Manager, Games Headquarters.

Andrew is committed to excellence in everything that he does and makes this not only a personal goal but a company one also.

Andrew regularly writes articles for and address client industry sector forums and peak bodies about strategic and operational matters including project procurement options, statutory approvals strategies, project risk mitigation and strategies for successful project delivery.

Andrew holds a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Building Foreman and Clerk of Works Certificate, and Carpentry and Joinery Trade Certificate. This blend of commercial and practical skills and experience allows Andrew to communicate at all levels and understand practical solutions to day-to-day problems.

Johan O’Brien
Chief Operating Officer

Johan has successfully managed a variety of projects from conception to completion. His recent notable project experience includes the management of the Ascham School Science and Boarding facility through DA and construction, delivery of a 138 bed aged care facility for BaptistCare at Kellyville, Project Director oversight of major aged care and retirement living projects for Southern Cross Care at Penrith and North Turramurra, and management of the fit-out and relocation of the head office of telecommunications provider, Alcatel-Lucent Australia to a modern facility at Rhodes.

He shows strength in the resolution of complex technical issues that arise in connection with construction and building services, as demonstrated on projects including the base building fire safety upgrade at Piccadilly office tower for Stockland, and NABERS services upgrades of the Gateway office tower and 1 Farrer Place, for DEXUS.

Johan holds a comprehensive understanding of the development pipeline. He has led numerous due diligence investigations, feasibility studies and property acquisition activity for clients including Primary Health Care, Southern Cross Care, Transpacific Cleanaway, Mounties Group, McCall Gardens, and Southern Cross College.

His wide-ranging experience includes a secondment to the team behind World Youth Day 2008, during the planning of building works at Randwick Race Course for an event attended by 250,000 people.

Mark Blizard
Group Executive

Mark has over 34 years of construction industry experience that has been acquired through roles from Site Clerk through to Project Manager on construction sites and from Divisional Manager through to Business Development Director within the corporate structure of construction companies.

A broad experience base has evolved from projects ranging in type across both public and privately funded arenas and in value up to $360M. These projects include education, hospitality, retail, public utilities, health, banking, and government buildings.

Mark’s roles and responsibilities have, and continue to encompass the management of client briefs, design management, authority approvals, cost planning, construction management, and system & process development particularly in the areas of employee and client care. Experience has been gained across traditional lump sum, design and construct, and construction management delivery methods.

The combination of Mark’s professional training and experience has provided him with key competencies in strategic leadership and management, project evaluation and research, and communication and integration within a range of community groups. This allows a versatile role across the range of services offered by epm further enhancing our client service capability.

Danae Bain
Associate

Danaë’s industry sector experience includes Health, Retail, Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Infrastructure projects (ranging from $1M to $70M in value) for both Government and Private Sector Clients. Danaë previously worked in Architectural practices within South Africa for 5 years and in Australia for over 5 years. Danaë has an eye for detail, is enthusiastic and dedicated to achieving quality project outcomes for her Clients.

Since joining EPM in early 2014, Danaë has been involved in the Project Management of several commercial fitout and upgrade projects both in NSW and as part of national roll-outs; as well as new builds within the retirement living and health sectors.

Danaë has a complement of skills to manage projects from initial briefing through construction to completion. Her design and technical experience provides the necessary skills to interpret and deliver client requirements, whilst drawing on her design background to inform practical project solutions. Through her involvement in delivery of shopping centres and retail fitout projects, Danaë has demonstrated the adaptability required to manage fast-track projects.

Danaë has undertaken studies in Architecture as well as postgraduate studies in Construction Project Management, thereby further expanding on her construction project delivery skillset.

Todd Ewart
Associate

In his extensive background as a Structural Engineer, Todd has led multi-discipline project teams through all stages of the project lifecycle. He has been involved from the concept design stages through to the detailed design, construction and project handover. His success has been recognised by clients which has allowed him to build and maintain important relationships to secure future projects.

Todd’s broad experience within the property and construction industry has given him an invaluable skill set that EPM is able to utilise in the successful delivery of complex projects. This skill set allows Todd to effectively manage stakeholders to derive innovative and efficient solutions whilst maintaining consistency with the project vision. Through all phases of the project, Todd’s commitment to the client’s objectives ensures projects are delivered successfully.

Todd is currently completing a Master of Property Development and a Master of Planning, further expanding on his project lifecycle knowledge to deliver a comprehensive service to EPM’s clients.
