In July 2015, Margaret Jurd College approached EPM in the hope that EPM might be able to find a more cost-effective way to develop the site whilst still meeting the requirements of the College. EPM devised a new layout for the site which substantially reduced the probable cost of development. The modifications to the site involved a new classroom, new toilet facilities, new outdoor play area, bus parking and the general improvement of the overall amenity of the site.
Planning approval was granted in the form of a Complying Development Certificate in September 2017 and reached Practical Completion in May 2018.
EPM Planning played an important role in guiding the College through the legislative scheme, both existing and draft, governing Complying Development. This project is one of many where EPM Planning has been able to save its clients time and money by identifying the optimal planning approvals pathway.
