Project Details

Having concluded a 28-month construction period, The Knox Grammar School Junior Academy and Performing Arts Centre (JAPAC) was officially opened in May 2019.

The new facility comprises performing theatres, classrooms for music, drama, & dance training, as well as a fully equipped recording studio. There is also a dedicated student lounge for years 7 and 8 with accompanying teacher support facilities, external terrace, and a fully equipped kitchen and café area.

The main performance theatre has complete state of the art facilities to host full productions and will house an audience of 760 while the minor performance space will cater for an audience of 165. The JAPAC is strategically connected to the main school campus via a pedestrian foot bridge which overlooks a purpose-built outdoor play area for the year 7 and 8 students.

The facility boasts an underground car park catering for in excess of 110 cars and it has an off street drop off and pick up zone.
